REVIEW: Oral Essentials Fresh Breath And Teeth Whitening Toothpastes

If the name Oral Essentials sounds familiar to some of you well, it's because I wrote a review on their first launch earlier this year in March (read here). And we are back again today with two of their newest products; Fresh Breath Toothpaste* and Teeth Whitening Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth*.

fluoride free, gluten free, vegan, 100% natural, oral health

Oral Essentials Teeth Whitening Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth* $11.99/3.5oz (here)
fluoride free, gluten free, vegan, 100% natural, oral health
Ingredients:
Purified Water/Aqua, Xylitol, Hydrated Silica, Vegetable Glycerin, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Dead Sea Salt, Tulsi/Holy Basil Oil, Organic Peppermint Oil, Spearmint Leaf Oil, Organic Wintergreen Leaf Oil, Clove Flower Oil, Coconut Oil, Lemon Peel Oil, Carrageenan (Food Grade), Xanthan Gum, Zinc Citrate, Titanium Dioxide

Oral Essentials Teeth Whitening Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth* uses natural ingredients such as lemon oil, coconut oil and sage oil instead of hydrogen peroxide or baking soda to whiten the teeth. It also contains Dead Sea salt which helps remineralize the teeth while whitens it. This toothpaste is also fluoride free, gluten free and vegan.

I love that they were very upfront that this toothpaste will take a longer time to show results as it doesn’t use ingredients that get rid of stains on teeth by removing enamel so I didn't have way too high expectations while using it. Initially I was a little apprehensive to use this toothpaste as I remembered the mouthwash having an overwhelming clove taste but to my relief, it wasn't as strong this time. The taste is definitely there but it's very faint so it didn't bother me as much.

There are a few differences that I instantly noticed as soon as I first tried this. Firstly, the texture of this toothpaste is lighter than off the shelves toothpastes that I've tried. I would call it a lotion instead of a paste. It also doesn't foam up like normal toothpaste and after rinsing, my mouth has a slight powdery feel. None of these are negatives but just thought I would point out the differences from shelf brand toothpastes.

Did I notice my teeth whiten? Nope, but I feel good knowing that I am not putting any harsh whitening chemicals in my mouth.

Oral Essentials Fresh Breath Toothpaste* $9.99/3.5oz (here)
fluoride free, gluten free, vegan, 100% natural, oral health
Ingredients:
Purified Water/Aqua, Xylitol, Hydrated Silica, Vegetable Glycerin, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Dead Sea Salt, Tulsi/Holy Basil Oil, Organic Peppermint Oil, Spearmint Oil, Organic Wintergreen Oil, Clove Flower Oil, Carrageenan (Food Grade), Xantham Gum, Zinc Citrate, Titanium Dioxide

This toothpaste has a blend of wintergreen, peppermint, spearmint and clove essential oils to break up plaque and fight bad breath. Just like the whitening toothpaste, this also has Dead Sea salt to help remineralize teeth with calcium, magnesium, and potassium. This toothpaste has no fluoride, harsh chemicals or artificial dyes and it is also gluten free and vegan.

The texture is similar to the whitening toothpaste, a light lotion instead of the usual thick paste and it doesn't foam up like off the shelf brand toothpastes. It would come as no surprise that this is my favourite out of the two. Just like the mouthwash, it has a very refreshing minty taste and I love how clean and fresh my mouth feels after every use.

I am seriously happy that Oral Essentials is slowly but surely expanding their selections of products and are providing a more natural and healthier approach to oral care. I also love that they offer a 100% 30 Day Money Back Guarantee on all of their products. It truly shows how they strongly believe in their products and are giving their best to their customers.

EDITED: Sorry for the misunderstanding of the texture, what I meant was it's airy and light, almost whipped lotion but it's not runny.
