REVIEW: VIIcode O2 Eye Mask

There is a good reason why the first sign of aging starts to emerge around our eyes. Crow's feet, dark circles, puffiness are just a few of Mother nature's way of telling us...gurlll, that bitch name Gravity won yet again. The skin around our eye is fragile and thin and this gets worse as we grow older.

So when Claire from VIIcode (VII is pronounced as Vee-Two) offered me the opportunity to test their Oxygen Eye Mask*, I agreed after a quick research about the company.

REVIEW: OZ Naturals Hyaluronic Acid Serum

After my little disappointment with OZ Natural 20% Vitamin C serum (reviewed here), I was a little sceptical about their next offering, Hyaluronic Acid Serum*. However, I have had many great experiences with HA previously so I had very high expectations for this.

As a note: For those of you who are not familiar with Hyaluronic Acid, it is a substance that is naturally present in the human body and it provides moisture, plumpness, firmness and suppleness to the skin (read here). Basically it's the good stuff for your skin.

Baked Mac & Cheese

It has been some time since my last food post and no, it wasn't because I have not been cooking. On the contrary, I have been cooking A LOT. Before any recipe is posted on Reflection of Sanity, it has been tried, tweaked, tested again and again and again. Posting a recipe makes me very nervous, what suits our pallet might not suit others and I hate for anyone to try a recipe from here and end up hating it and for the food go to waste.

I made Baked Mac & Cheese for the first time on little tyke's birthday and it proved to be a huge hit. As in why I decided to cook something new for a party is another story, I was feeling brave read stupid however the gamble paid off. Baked mac & cheese while easy, can sometimes turn out to be dry or just a blob of nastiness and thankfully this is nothing like that. It's creamy and will remain creamy when heated in the oven the next day.

This recipe has since been made numerous times by me and other family members so I hope you guys will enjoy it too.

Beauty Box REVIEW: ipsy May 2015 'VIP: Very Important Products' Glam Bag

There is a good reason why ipsy has not made an appearance on Reflection of Sanity well, truthfully there are a few good reasons. First, we are flooded by ipsy reviews every month, there are thousands if not hundreds of thousand beauty bloggers either blogging or vlonging about it. Secondly, I have not been blown away by the products that I received for the past few months. I'm not complaining because I don't hate the products but neither did I love them.

For those of you who are not familiar with ipsy (check here), it's a beauty subscription that sends you 4-5 deluxe samples or full size beauty products (makeup, skincare, hair care and nail care) in a bag for USD10.00 a month. Shipping is free within US but those who are in Canada get bitch slapped with USD4.95 shipping fees.

So you can probably guess why ipsy May Glam Bag is making an appearance today. I personally feel that this month's bag is the best to date and it's so good that I will be posting further reviews on some of the products that I received.

REVIEW: Benefit Fake Up Hydrating Crease-Control Concealer (Medium)

Benefit is a brand that I have a love/hate relationship with. I love their Sunbeam highlighter but hate They're Real mascara that I purchased. On another hand, I fell in love with a sample size They're Real  mascara that I received from Sephora and why the quality was different between both is beyond me. And then I fell head over heels in love with Benetint and Porefessional but left feeling unsure about Gimme Brow. As I said, the status of our relationship is complicated.

So when I received Benefit Fake Up in the shade Medium*, my head spins with excitement, is this meant to be or will it be another dud? Thinking about it, maybe this is the reason why my bloody insomnia is back with a vengeance.

A Gorgeous Weekend (PICTURE HEAVY)

It has been a long time since my last personal post so I thought I would share what we did this weekend. It was a long weekend here in Canada with Monday, today a public holiday.

The weather has been amazing over the weekend; the sun was shinning bright, the sky was blue with cool breeze. Yes, the weather couldn't have been any better.

SATURDAY
We decided to head down to the ranch, my in-laws second home and spent the whole afternoon there. Little tyke had a great time running around, actually he was falling and rolling on the grass due to the slope but nevertheless, he had a blast.

Not everyone was a fan of the sun...

The Moment of Truth: DressLink.com The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (PICTURE HEAVY)

Remember my first wish list of some sort post from roughly a month ago? Well, if you don't then allow me to refresh your memory, click here.

I received the clothes a couple of weeks back, have since washed the clothes a couple of times and have also styled and worn all but one a few times. The shipping was surprisingly quick, it actually took less than two weeks for the package to arrive so big thumbs up for Dresslink.com on that matter.

Now without further ado, let's get down and dirty!
