BRAND SPOTLIGHT: THE NEW ZOELLA JELLY & GELATO LAUNCH

I know I will be person number 75564535789890785645354 who said this....

"Summer is truly over...."

One of the biggest things I noticed living in Canada is the weather is as unpredictable as a hangry, PMSing woman. You never know what you'll get, a sweet, lovely adorable version who only wants candies and chocolate or a raging hormonal witch who is out for your blood, testicles and first born child. I finally understand why people talk about the weather most of the time.

The sudden drop in temperature (one day it was a high 30C and next, it was freezing your tits off cold) also means now is time for hot, long, relaxing baths. Mind you I still don't fully understand the concept of a bath; do you rinse the bubbles off? Do you have a shower after? Like wtf is one supposed to do?

All that aside, I took the opportunity to finally test some of Zoella newest launches which are currently available for purchase at London Drugs. I was very kindly sent Shower Shake* (C$10.99), Shower Sauce* (C$9.99) and last but not least, Pink Bath Wafers* ($9.99).

I'm going to start by stating the most obvious, the packaging is absolutely adorable and thankfully not in a sickeningly sweet way that makes me want to drown myself in a pool of cotton candy. I do love the colour scheme with gold lettering which I think would appeal to all age ranges. On top of that, all three products smell intoxicatingly like delicious desserts.

Shower Shake* is a delicious scent of elderflower and pomegranate and it's meant to not only moisturize but also tone, brighten and smooth the skin. I didn't notice any toning or brightening but I do feel my skin was nicely soft and smooth after each use thanks to vey creamy lather. I still apply a body lotion but that's a habit that I have ever since I was a wee little one. This does contain SLS which I personally don't mind for my body washes but I know many avoid it at all costs so thought I best point it out.

Shower Sauce* smells similar to Shower Shake* however this gives massive foam and leaves my skin feeling really squeaky clean and fresh! I don't find it to leave my skin feeling as smooth and soft as the latter but the differences are very minimal and I do use a body lotion after so it doesn't bother me as much.

I am surprised at how much I enjoyed Pink Bath Wafer*. It feels moisturizing on the skin which is no surprise as it's enriched with shea butter and like the previous two, it also contains elderflower and pomegranate extracts which gives it an amazing scent.

It's meant for only two baths as you can see the line etched in the middle so you can easily break it apart. If you are expecting crazy massive fizzles ala Lush bath bombs then you will be disappointed because this frizzes almost sophisticatedly. It's like Lush bath bomb is your crazy cousin whom dances on a tabletop after gulping two glasses of champagne and Pink Bath Wafer* is the cousin who sips on the champagne and holds intellectual conversations and doesn't embarrass the crap out of you.

I must admit that I am truly surprised at how much I enjoyed using all three products and as much as I am not a fan of Zoella who is too bubbly for my cup of tea, I will be repurchasing these products in the future.

Have you tried any of her new launches?
