The Secrets of Blogging Tag

Hi luvs! So here is the story, I was tagged to do "The Secrets of Blogging Tag" by Victoria Nightingale of VVNightingale (she has to be one of the sweetest person I've met here, do check her out!). I do love doing tagged post, for some reason I have a soft spot for it. It is always a fun and enjoyable post for me to write and hopefully, it is also fun for my readers too.

So here it goes...*drumrolls*...questions please!

1. When did you start blogging and why?
I started blogging way back in 2012. This was my little sanctuary, a place where I can say whatever I want without the judgemental people in my real life frowning on me and telling me to shut up because I am to stupid to know what I am talking about. Here was the place where I can take a deep breath and regain my sanity hence the address of my blog is ReflectionofSanity.blogspot.com

2. How many people in real life know about your blog?
Gosh, extremely few! I hardly tell anyone at first because I needed this place to be my private sanctuary and now, I am too shy to tell anyone that I write about beauty because I don't think my post are that good, yet. Still lots of room for improvement!

3. What are your favourite posts to read?
I would say anything skincare related would be my top favourite. I am quite obsessed about skincare, especially serums. Well, ever since I hit the big 3-0 a few years ago, I can't help but be quite obsessed about ways to combat these bloody fine lines...

4. List a blog you've recently discovered.
Everyday Unicorn which I discovered from twitter! Don't you just love the blog's name? Cuteness!

5. What post are you most proud of?
Aww, this is a little unfair, it's like asking me to choose a favourite child. LOL! If I really have to choose then I would say any of my recipe post. 3 years ago I couldn't cook to save my life and after the first disastrous pasta meal I cooked for hubby dearest which was too spicy and bland (I swear I thought he was going to choke in front of me...), I think my cooking skills have improved tremendously. These days I can create my own recipes so yes, I am proud of it.

6. What advice would you give to future bloggers?
Do it out of passion. Save yourself the trouble if you're doing it for freebies because blogging is not about that. It's a lot of hard work and you need to spend hours creating the best post you can. Also, get to know other bloggers, you'll be surprise how supportive some are.

I hope you enjoy reading my answers and I tag my friends below and fingers crossed they will give this a go too! xx
  1. Renard Moreau (Renard Moreau Presents)
  2. Ray Turner (The Complete Works of TGR Worzel)
  3. Myra Caballero (Winterthorne)
  4. Lorna Glassington (Captivate the Eyes)
  5. Sonya C. (Itty Bitty Bunny)
  6. Zoe Cowl (Cowl Nail Art)
By the way, don't be creep out by my little goblin? dwarf? dude has been keeping me company the past few weeks while I work online...somehow I now consider him as my good juju. Maybe I should name him....yes, yes, I should definitely name him.
