THE LUXURY EDITION: EMILE CORDON CASHMERE-ON LIP POTS

For as long as I can remember, lip balms have been a huge part of my life. Actually they have taken over my life, my bags, my home and my drawers because you can literally find them almost everywhere that I have been or touched. You might even find one in my pantry.

What you won't find though is a luxury lip balm which I had no idea existed before these luxuriously packaged little goodies arrived on my doorstep. Let me introduce my latest lip treatment obsession, the highly raved about Emile Cordon Cashmere-On Lip Pots.

I first saw these on a couple of my favourite European blogs but they really caught my eye when I saw them making an appearance on Lisa Eldridge's InstaStories. If Queen Eldridge features a brand or product then you will definitely have my attention, obsession and wallet.

Luxurious is the right term to describe these as they are housed in a heavy, beautifully crafted glass jar with a gold cap and the texture is one of the silkiest that I have ever tried.

Don't let the solid balm fool you into thinking the texture will be very heavy and greasy as it is anything but that. A little goes a very long way and once applied onto the lips, the balm instantly melts into a silky texture that feels like a hybrid of gel and oil. Usually anything that resembles an oil will leave my lips feeling parched and dry after 20 minutes but surprisingly these left my lips soft, plump and nourished. I also tried it as an overnight treatment and woke up each time to soft and plump lips.

Emile Cordon lip pots are not only for nourishing your lips as these are meant to be multi-purpose balms. They can also be used to protect and nourish your cuticles, protect the skin, soothe the skin after the sun and used under or over makeup. Personally I am not a fan of using it under or on top of makeup as it never fully dries down but I do adore massaging it into my cuticles.

A huge bonus is each pot comes with its own little spatula so you don't have to stick your finger and contaminate the product. The creation and design of these little gems are definitely very well thought out.

I know the price of $42.00 per pot is hard to swallow for many but I feel that these are worth the splurge. Not only does it make a lovely treat for you, it'll also make the perfect gift for the upcoming festive season.
