Let Your Skin Feels #AsLightAs Silk With The New Dove Shower Foams

I have been a long time user of liquid body wash for so long that I have lost count how many years have passed since I quit using bar soaps and converted to liquid wash instead. I remember using Dove and Palmolive bar soaps when I was growing up but a decade or more ago, bar soaps somehow managed to gain a horrendous reputation so myself and 80% of the worlds population quit using them.

Remarkably bar soaps managed to make a comeback in the past few years albeit it's the natural, organic and handmade ones that are slowly conquering the beauty market again. Remember a few decades ago society was crucifying coconut oil as the evil of all evils and that it would clog your arteries and make you drop dead in a jiffy? And now coconut oil is like liquid gold, it's precious, it will make you grow angel wings...like seriously, people need to make up their mind.

Yes, I am aware I am showing my age but do remember that growing old is a privilege in today's world so I am happy that I am slowly getting there.

Dove is a brand that has been a round since...well, as long as I can remember and I have been using their products since I was a wee little one. You name it and I pretty much have tried it; haircare, body care and anti-perspirant...I have tried most. So when I was given the opportunity to test their newest launch Body Foaming Wash, I was more than happy to say yes! Like a big fat freaking yes!

I was kindly sent Cucumber & Green Tea*, Deep Moisture* and Shea Butter with Warm Vanilla* and have been using them alternately for the past few weeks and guys, I am in love.

First of all, I noticed that the scents in these shower foams are very soft and pleasant. Dove is sometimes guilty of overpowering, sickeningly sweet scents but I am happy to report that these are anything but that. My favourite scent out of the three is Cucumber & Green Tea*, it's very refreshing and perfect for Spring and Summer. Deep Moisture* and Shea Butter with Warm Vanilla* seems to smell the same to me; vanilla-y (is that even a word?!), reminds me of desserts and makes me hungry.

The texture is definitely unique, it comes out as a light airy foam and I love using it with a loofah. All I need is two pumps to the loofah and I easily wash the whole body with it. The best part is how quickly this foam rinses! My usual body wash takes what feels like forever to rinse off the body and the loofah while these shower foams wash away within seconds while leaving the skin feeling soft, smooth and very silky.

Looking at the ingredient list, I like that Dove uses Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate, Sodium Lauroyl Glycinate and Sodium Laurate instead of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate both which are more known as the notorious SLS. Glycerin is also listed as the third ingredient in all three shower foams which helps to maintain and nourish the skin.

I honestly can't recommend enough these new Dove Shower Foams, I thoroughly enjoy using them, they help cut down my shower time and the scents are absolutely lovely. Kudos to Dove for launching these brilliant body washes and I will forever be repurchasing these.

Have you tried the new Dove Shower Foams?
