BRAND SPOTLIGHT: NuVsio Two-Step Active Mineral Facial Treatment Skin Care System

Hello, helloo, hellooooo! I am back after celebrating one of the best long weekends that we ever had but most importantly, I was barely present online and it was refreshing to be 80% offline. I know I am way behind in catching up with all the comments and blog reading but please be patient with me, I promise I'll get there later today.

But for now, let's get to the topic of the day.

NuVsio Two-Step Active Mineral Facial Treatment Skin Care System was created by Dr. Brei and is specially designed to deeply purify and detoxify the skin while the mineral blends  simultaneously gently exfoliate, minimize pore appearance, and normalize the skin’s pH.

I was kindly sent some samples and have been testing them for the past few weeks. So far I have used  the system 6 times and am ready to share my thoughts on it.

Ingredients:
Aqua**, Kaolin**, Solum Diatomeae**, Hectorite**, Nepheline Syenite**, Calcium Silicate, Silica (Amorphous), Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil*, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil*, Citrus Aurantium Amara (Bitter Orange) Oil*, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil*. *Certified Organic **Naturally Sourced

The application of this mask is slightly different from my other clay masks as it's suggested to gently massage the mask into the skin for a minute and then let the minerals absorb into the skin for 5 minutes. It's said there is no need to let the mask dry down completely before removing but regardless of the amount I use, the mask will completely dry down within 2-3 minutes. I believe the massage is meant to promote circulation and to gently exfoliate the skin and the results are just lovely.

This mask has a very rich, creamy texture and it has a very pleasant lavender scent. I find there isn't much time to massage the mask into the skin as it dries down very quickly. It did dry down tight on the skin like most clay masks which doesn't bother me but I know not everyone is a huge fan of that. To remove is surprisingly easy as it doesn't stubbornly stick onto the skin like a couple of my clay masks.

Once rinsed I am left with very clean, soft, smooth and radiant skin but it did leave my face feeling taut and a touch dry so it's best to follow up with balm concentrate. To fully test the mask, I have tried it without applying the balm after and my skin felt dry and taut despite layering two serums, moisturizer, facial oils and an overnight mask. So lesson learned, do NOT skip the balm after using this mask.

Ingredients:
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Silica (Amorphous), Argania Spinosa (Argan) Nut Oil*, Silica (Amorphous Precipitated), Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Seed Oil*, Tocopherol (D-Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta)**, Calcium Silicate, Nepheline Syenite**, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil*, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil*, Citrus Aurantium Amara (Bitter Orange) Oil*, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil*. *Certified Organic **Naturally Sourced

This is a very rich, emollient balm and has a soft, very pleasant citrusy scent. Initially I thought it would be too rich and sit on top of my skin but on the contrary, it absorbs fairly quickly. Unlike the mask which must go hand in hand with the balm, this can be used by itself after any other clay mask or after a very deep exfoliation. It really helps to calm down and nourish the skin priming it as the perfect base for all the other skincare products.

I initially thought this duo would be just another clay mask and serum gimmicky duo but I am happy to be proven wrong. A little goes a long way for both mask and balm and my skin is left looking so clear and radiant after every usage. I can see how this duo will help to improve skin conditions over time as my skin has been at one of its clearest and most radiant stage after trying both products for only 6 times. That said, if you have dry, dehydrated skin like mine then I strongly suggest using this duo only once or maximum twice a week because you risk drying out your skin if you use them too often. Oily and combination skin lovelies would benefit a lot by adding this duo into your skincare routine.
