3 SIMPLE YET EFFECTIVE MOISTURIZERS THAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

Well, I survived my first week of training...day one made me question my very existence on earth but day 2 and 3 turned out better than I expected. Starting a new job has never been easy but I must admit that this is definitely the toughest one that I have experienced.

Back to today's topic, skincare or more precisely, moisturizers that I have discovered for the past 6 months and the ones that I hold close to my heart. Winter was extremely long, dark, gloomy and cold AF this year and my skin went through many ups and downs. I lost count of how many trillion times I cursed the coldness but in hindsight, I discovered some of the simplest and yet best moisturizers that helped my skin stay fairly normal despite the bitter Winter.

There is a very good reason why this cream has been around forever or at least it seems forever to me. It's a simple cream rich with Ceramides, Cholesterol, Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin and fatty alcohols that nourish and protect your skin.

This scentless thick cream is what I reach for when I use a heavy duty retinol or AHA serum or whenever I over-exfoliate my skin. This cream creates a soothing barrier that calms, protects and heals my skin and its reliability is what makes me love it so much. Its usage is not restricted to only facial care as you can also use it on your body.

When I first bought this 3 years ago to combat Little Tyke's eczema, I thought it would take forever to absorb into the skin but surprisingly it does so without much effort. Once absorbed, it leaves a non tacky, smooth and soft feeling to the skin. Little Tyke loves it, I love it and this moisturizer will forever be in our rotation.

This newly revamped moisturizer is best described as a beefed up version of the original Toleriane moisturizer. This new version comes with a short ingredient list but with the addition of Niacinamide, Vitamin E and Ceramide.

Just like all in the Toleriane range, this moisturizer is fragrance-free and is created for the most sensitive skin. The texture is a lightweight cream that absorbs almost instantly and a little goes a long way. It hydrates my skin the whole day or overnight and also wears beautifully under makeup. It doesn't cause my primer or foundation to pill nor does it cause my t-zone to look extra oily throughout the day.

Just how much do I love this moisturizer? It's the cream that I recommended to all my customers and one that I will always repurchase myself.

Let's make this clear, I don't think I've seen a shorter ingredient list for a moisturizer than this. Just how short is short? 13 ingredients and you get Squalane and Hyaluronic Acid as the second and third ingredient.

Ingredients:
Water/Aqua/Eau, Squalane (hydration, antioxidant), Hyaluronic Acid, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (emollient), Teprenone, Polyisobutene, Polysorbate 20, Xylitylglucoside (hydration), Anhydroxylitol (hydration), Xylitol, Ethylhexylglycerin (derived from glycerin; skin conditioner), Polyacrylate-13, Phenoxyethanol.

What makes this moisturizer even better is the airless pump packaging. Remember how I was going on and on and on about how I wished all skincare came in the perfect packaging? This ladies and gentlemen, is perfection. Not only is the packaging an opaque plastic which protects the cream for sunlight but it's also an airless pump. I push the pump down to dispense the perfect amount and there is zero possibility for contamination.

This scentless rich luxurious cream absorbs within seconds and leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft almost instantly. Initially I wasn't thoroughly impressed because I noticed minimal effects on my skin but after a month, I started to realize that my skin looked so much better. Gone are the crepiness around the eyes and my smile lines and skin generally look healthier and more supple.

Repurchase? Yes, and not only this cream but many more of this brand's products. Don't let the cutesy fartsy names deter you (okay, to be fair, some of the prices might cause you to hail Mary too 😅) from trying the products because they are some of the best that I have ever tried.

It's way too easy to get lost in the beauty world where brands often over-promise without any substance so it's refreshing to discover simple products that truly deliver on results.
