The One That Truly Delivers: Paula's Choice RESIST Omega+Complex Serum

Paula's Choice is a brand that has been featured here multiple times and irregardless of my personal thoughts on her site or more specifically, how biased her team reviews other brands and products, there is no denying she has an amazing, reasonably priced skincare range.

My skin loved all her products that I had the opportunity to try but none made me swoon like her latest launch, RESIST Omega+Complex Serum*.

This serum was launched on April 5 and it has garnered a lot of attention and amazing reviews ever since. Now I have been testing this serum since April so I had a lot of time matching it with different skincare routines, I even quit using it for a couple of weeks to see how much my skin would miss it and I have come to the conclusion that this is by far the best product that I have tried from the brand.

I will even go as far as saying this has to be one of my top three favourite serums ever.

RESIST Omega+Complex Serum* is designed to suit all skin types and is rich with Omega 3, 6 and 9 oils, ceramides and filled with hydrating ingredients. The serum targets signs of aging and helps revive dull and dehydrated skin aka my skin.

Fatty acids such as Omega 3, 6 and 9 act as antioxidants that help fight and protect our skin from free radicals. And this serum contains high levels of them and are listed really high on the ingredient list. On top of that, ceramides are also listed pretty high on the list.

If you're wondering why ceramides are important in skincare well, it's a lipid molecule that is naturally present in our body or more specifically, they are part of the epidermis and act like a glue to hold skin cells together. Ceramides help to regulate cells, retain moisture to keep the skin plump and repair damages to the skin’s natural barrier. Little tyke suffered from severe eczema when he was a baby and our doctor advised us to start using cream which has ceramides as an ingredient and it helped tremendously. Bottom line, ceramides are good and create wonders for the skin.

This serum is housed in a heavy airless pump bottle and has a light lotion texture. It doesn't leave any tackiness or residue on the skin and absorbs very quickly. I only need one pump for both my face and neck as I pat instead of massaging the serum onto the skin so this bottle will last me at least 3 months. Be warned that it does have a slight scent to it but nothing perfumey or floral, it leans more towards natural and the scent dissipates almost instantly.

Usually I frown on the multiple sky high promises but this serum really delivers on all and more. Results were clear within the first two weeks, I noticed my skin was clearer, plump and the multiple fine lines around my eyes and mouth were considerably softened. My skin was also no longer dehydrated and I actually received the biggest compliment when asked what foundation I was wearing when I wasn't using one.

Serums have been a huge part of my life for more than a decade however RESIST Omega+Complex Serum* really stood out from the masses that I have tried. This little gem will forever be a part of my routine and I know I can never be without it.

Paula's Choice RESIST Omega+Complex Serum is available for purchase at paulaschoice.com for $36.00.
