Brand Spotlight On: Me Thyme Nature Inspired Indulgence

Let me tell you a little story....back in the days when I was working, I bitched and moaned about the long commute time, the long office hours and the never ending work loads. My stress levels were rocket high, it doesn't help that I have almost zero patience and my tolerance level is in the negative.

But I had time...time to go for to the nail spa where my feet get pampered and I relaxed with one and more often two glasses of shiraz. And I had time to go for a couple of self indulging facials twice a month.

But those are distant memories now. Don't get me wrong, I am not moaning about my life as a stay at home mum and neither do I want to change the present but sometimes I miss the luxury of a good lil' me time. These days I am lucky if I go through a day without having snot on my clothes.

Me Thyme aims to change that for anyone who wishes to indulge in a little pampering at home and specializes in creating products that are for your body, mind and spirit. And their products are free from parabens, phthalates, artificial colors, sulfates or petroleum, is vegan and free from animal testing.

I was kindly sent two samples of Exfoliating Sugar Scrub* (check here) and Shea Body Butter* (check here). There are six different scents but the best part is you have the option to choose unscented which goes to show how much the company care for their customers. I wish more brands offered this option as there are many who are sensitive to scents. I opted for White Tea & Aloe because I have never come across this scent so it definitely piqued my curiosity.

Exfoliating Sugar Scrub
I managed one usage for my whole body and had little remaindering which I used for only my hands. Unlike our normal DIY sugar scrub, the texture seems finer with Me Thyme scrub. It did leave my skin feeling soft and smooth but the real winner is the scent. I can't quite describe it but errrmahhhgerdd this smells so good. It's so fresh and it makes me feel instantly relaxed.

Shea Body Butter
This is a little heaven in a jar. The texture is light, reminds me of whipped cream and absorbs quickly into the skin. It leaves my skin feeling silky smooth and hydrated throughout the day. And the scent, it makes me want to smell myself all the time. It's invigorating and the best part, the scent lingers for hours and again, it gives a feeling of calm and relaxation. I adore using this right before bed and I wake up to the scent still softly lingering.

As much as I enjoyed both products, I personally don't feel the body scrub did anything extraordinary to my skin, it's good but I feel that I easily get the same results with homemade sugar scrub. The real winner in my book is the body butter, it's sooooo good and I am actually sad that I have finished my sample. I have a few body lotions to finish but once those are done, I am planning to purchase this. It's so good and I just love how it relaxes me while making my skin silky smooth.

Have you heard of Me Thyme before? Do any of the products interest you?

*I received this product for free but my thoughts and opinions are 100% unbiased, honest and my own. There is no place for any sort of BS here.
