REVIEW: Annabelle TWISTUP Retractable Lipstick Crayons

By now you guys are probably sick to the bone about me gushing about Annabelle...well, today's post is no different. I will be singing praises about these two newest additions to my ever growing lip crayon collection.

Whoever first came up with the idea of lipstick crayon is a genius, I would love to hug and kiss the bugger. It made my lipstick game so much easier. I swear that person is a genius.

Cherry, Divine

Cherry, Divine

Cherry, Divine

These lipstick crayons are very creamy which make a smooth application without any tugging on the lips. The formula is also hydrating and I can easily wear both without applying lip balm beforehand. Pigmentation wise it is pretty impressive as I need one or two swipes to get the intensity that I want.

Cherry is a deep, plumy and almost vampy red on me (you'll see me wearing it here). The pigmentation is super intense and all I need is one swipe to achieve the right intensity. It also has a very impressive lasting power because it lasted 6 hours with eating and drinking!

Divine is a strange colour and I don't have anything like it in my collection. The best way for me to describe the colour is a cream pale tomato red? It's like a white sauce tomato pasta, does that even make any sense to you or am I speaking Martian here?
It's much sheerer than Cherry and I need a couple of swipes for the colour to appear on my lips. The lasting power also falls a little short as it only lasted 3 hours on my lips with eating and drinking.

Divine on me and please excuse the spot in the middle of my forehead. I rarely get spots but when I do, it's ALWAYS a freaking volcanic eruption in between my eyebrows. Does this happen to you too?! Grr!

Cherry is heaven sent for lazy days. All I need is cat flick eye liner, pile on the mascaras and I look like I'm ready to conquer the world. On the other hand, Divine is perfect for days when I don't want to have a full face makeup but only a touch of colour on my lips to show that I am alive.

Have you tried Annabelle TWISTUP Retractable Lipstick Crayons before?

Over the weekend:

I had Mexican cuisine for the first time! Hubby and I had no idea what to order so in the end we asked the waitress to suggest what's good. I had two lime margaritas and needless to say, my mind took a trip to Mexico by itself after that. We also watched Avengers: Age of Ultron and it was brilliannttt!

And finally, I bought something that was completely out of my comfort zone. It's no secret that I am one of the least fashionable people you'll ever meet in your life however, thanks to a few fashion blogs that I have been religiously following, I finally plucked enough courage and bought a jogger. Special thanks to the beautiful Lilli who blogs at Candy and Style (check her out, she's one of the sweetest people I've met in the blogsphere) who gave me the much needed push out of my comfort zone.

And now enough about me, let's talk about you. How was your weekend and what did you do for Mother's Day celebration?
