COVO Kiss-Proof Matte Lip Fluid Media Launch and GIVEAWAY (CLOSED)

I had an exciting day on Wednesday and for those of you who follows me on Twitter and Instagram, you will know that I am referring to me attending my first PR event. I was invited by Ms. Julie Wong the founder of COVO Cosmetics to attend the media launch of their latest product, Kiss-Proof Matte Lip Fluid. This event was held at One Utama shopping centre and can I say wow, I haven't visited this mall for so many years and what a huge change indeed. I really need to get out more often...

For this event, COVO collaborates with a renowned Italian makeup artist, Francesco Riva who has over 20 years of experience under his belt. He has worked with many international cosmetic giants, fashion runways, magazines and even movie sets so this is a man who knows his art well. While demonstrating how to use lip fluid, he offered 5 tips on how to achieve the perfect matte lips.

1. Exfoliate with an old toothbrush and water to remove dry skin.
2. Choose the perfect lip fluid shade to suit your skin tone.
3. Choose a shade that is right for the size of your lips. For example, avoid dark colours if your have thin lips.
4. Use your finger tips to dab the fluid to your lips for a softer look.
5. Fully remove lip fluid from your lips to avoid staining with a makeup remover.

Kiss-Proof Matte Lip Fluid is the latest offering from Malaysia beauty brand, COVO Cosmetics and comes in 6 different shades; Marshmallow, Wonderland, Spellbinder, Sunshine, Magical and Rainbow.

This product claims to be 'kiss proof' and long lasting throughout the day with high-impact colour. As you can guess from its name, this product follows the footsteps of NYX Matte Lip Cream, Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet and the likes. It applies as a cream and within a minute dries down to a beautiful matte finish. Lip fluid is formulated with Vitamin E to moisturise the lips, without parabens and like all COVO products, it is cruelty free.

I really had fun at this launch and it was an eye opener on how much work was done to make this event a success. All the beauty assistants on duty were well trained and they were very helpful in explaining each product. They patiently applied and demonstrated the products to customers who requested it and was very attentive to everyone. 

I do wish I had the guts to walk up to others and try to make friends. But I was a little shy and felt slightly awkward so I ended up keeping to myself while taking lots of pictures. I do promise myself that if I am invited to another PR event, I will summon the courage to introduce myself and get to know others.
