PERSONAL THOUGHTS: RELIVING THE 90'S

You guys are probably sick of me saying this but...Spring has finally sprung! Or at least it has on my side of Canada. The weather has been mostly lovely with more sunny days than gloomy miserable ones.

With the new season, I finally decided to sit down and embrace the new me. Turning 40 was a huge emotional rollercoaster for me. Not going to lie, I was almost depressed in the few weeks leading up to my birthday. It doesn't help that I started noticing that I have more fine lines than ever, my body seems to hold on to every.single.bloody.calorie from that one tiny nibble of a cupcake and I also feel like I'm on a crossroad on the fashion and beauty front.

I don't really wear much makeup anymore (but that never stops me from buying more) but the biggest challenge for me is on the fashion front.

Are those jeans too tight on me? Do I look like your grandma in this floral dress? Is below the knees the perfect length for 40 or is there no rule to it? #firstworldproblem

This or that, whatever it is....today's outfit is my take on reliving the 90's; double denim and yes, Spice Girls. Love or hate them now, they were one of the biggest girl bands back then. I am, of course, Posh Spice forever.

I've also been wearing this Ray-Ban sunglasses* that I received from SmartBuyGlasses.ca a hell lot. It's definitely different from my usual aviator but again, it's a refreshing change. My only problem with it is I have a flat nose bridge so it sits on my cheeks instead. They do carry a wide range of designer wears and I plan to place another order in the future. Their prices are right and they guarantee 100% authenticity.

There shouldn't be an age limit to anything and we should wear, eat, do and embrace whatever we are comfortable with or in my case, I'm trying to dip my toes into stuff that I've always wanted to try but lack the courage to. These are of course words I am trying to live by.

Let us all today embrace our inner Spice Girl, be confident, be wild, bend that rule a little and try something a little out of our comfort zone.

But maybe without those gawd-awful thick platform shoes that will break my ankle. Heels are forever, baby.
