THE SKINCARE EDITION: GET TO KNOW IT COSMETICS CONFIDENCE IN A CREAM

Spring has finally sprung on my side of Canada and it's been so refreshing to have the temperature soar to the low 20s Celsius. I swear this year Winter felt like it was permanently here to stay and I thought my skincare routine would forever consist of me layering 3 toners, hydrating serum, anti-aging serum (got to get rid of all those pesky fine lines) and thick heavy moisturizer.

With the change of weather, came a shorter and lighter routine and IT Cosmetics Confidence In A Cream* couldn't have arrived at a better time. If you missed my first two posts on the brand then you can read them here and here.

Just like the eye cream, this moisturizer comes in a similar jar packaging but bigger in size and you get 50mL of product. The texture looks similarly thick however it has a citrusy scent which was missing from the eye cream.

Again, I wish this moisturizer came in airless pump packaging however, I do know many beauty companies opted for jar packaging when it came to moisturizers. Why? I don't know but I wish they would all switch to airless pumps which helps in keeping the product fresh and stops the active ingredients from breaking down.

Some of you might wonder why some of us preach about the important of ingredients like it's the second coming? Food is fuel for your body, knowledge is fuel for your soul and skincare ingredients are, well, food for your skin. Knowing the ingredients are like knowing what food makes you healthy and what makes you ill.

Just like the eye cream, this moisturizer is packed with antioxidants, ceramides, Squalane, Vitamin E, peptides, allantoin, betaine, cholesterol, fatty acid, collagen, hyaluronic acid and retinol. In addition to all that, it also contains essential oils (possible irritants), shea butter and coconut oil which makes this a rich and hydrating moisturizer.

I was expecting this moisturizer to be very thick, greasy and would leave me as an oil slick but it is anything but that. It absorbs very quickly similar to a lightweight lotions but leaves my skin hydrated all day long. It wears beautifully under sunscreen and makeup and doesn't cause any pilling.

To be honest I didn't notice any major changes in my fine lines however, my skin felt and looked soft, hydrated and plump ever since adding this moisturizer into my routine. I don't even reach for my facial oils anymore, my skin has been that hydrated!

Now to the most important part, will I repurchase? Maybe if IT Cosmetics decides to change the jar packaging into a squeeze tube or bottle with a pump. I love everything about this moisturizer but I am constantly testing products and I am also fickle with my skincare so jar packaging is never the best for me.

If you are looking for a moisturizer that truly delivers and if you're not a fussy-pants about packaging like me then I highly recommend giving It Cosmetics Confidence In A Cream* a try. You will not be disappointed.

It Cosmetics Confidence In A Cream retails $62.00CAD and is available for purchase on www.Sephora.com
