WELCOMING 2019 WITH: EMILE CORDON MIRACLE LIP BALMS

Happy 2019 lovelies and I hope you guys had a fabulous Christmas and New Year celebration! Christmas was very low-key for us as we finally decided that Little Tyke has too many toys so he got lots of books, puzzles, a couple of Transformers toys and a scooter. We're trying to be wiser in our purchases and I think we're off to a good start.

It's not about how much you have, it's about the quality of what you have.

Talking about quality, I am finally back to blogging and what better way to start the year than introducing these stunning Emile Cordon Miracle Lip Balms. Longtime readers will probably remember my love for the original Cashmere-On Lip Pots (reviewed here) and my love is still going strong until today. Honestly, I am on my last pot so when these arrived, it felt like I won the beauty lottery.

I was kindly sent 4 of the new 2-in-1 lip and cheek tints (Powdered Rose*, Chic Chic Boom*, Madison Queen* and limited edition Charlotte*) and two lip balms (Rosé Imperial* and limited edition St. Barts Soleil*).

The 2-in-1 lip and cheek tints are rich with Castor Seed Oil, Olive Oil, Soy, Allantoin, Kukui Nut Oil, Almond Oil, Vitamin E, and Squalane. The texture is a rich, smooth, glossy balm that glides over cheeks and lips beautifully.

I must admit that I am usually not a fan of 2-in-1 cheek and lip products because they are usually great for only one area and not the other but these are brilliant for both. They are hydrating on the lips and imparts a beautiful dewy glow when used on cheeks. A word of warning, because these are glossy, they are not long lasting. They fade after 3-4 hours with drinking and light snacking.

Just like the tinted version, Rosé Imperial* and St. Barts Soleil* are also rich with similar goodness in the pot but without colourless. Rosé Imperial* looks soft, pastel pink in the pot but transparent on the lips. My favourite has to be St. Barts Soleil* which smells like a glass of heavenly pina colada. Both are richly hydrating on the lips and can also be used as a gloss over a drying matte lipstick.

I'm happy to see Emile Cordon is expanding their range and even happier to discover the new products are as brilliant if not better than the original lip pots. Christmas and New Year might be over but if you ever need a beautifully made gift for a special someone for any occasions, I highly recommend Emile Cordon.

You won't be disappointed.
