FOTD: Let's Get Festive with THEFACESHOP

Hello December! I'm not sure about you lovelies but I'm actually surprised how fast time flew by this year. 2015 has been a very busy year for me with a huge part of it spent on me trying to adjust and find my footing in a new country. It felt like my previous life was stripped bare and I had to start over but that's a post for another time because today, we're all about festivity!

For someone who is self declared hopeless in makeup application, I am back with another FOTD post. Recently I was very kindly sent a PR package from THEFACESHOP to create a festive look and I had fun playing with the makeup.

If you lovelies hesitated, paused and wondered what the hell when you saw the eyeshadow shade then rest assured, I had the same reaction when I opened the package. Yes, I do not do colour eyeshadows, ever...but that's the beauty of being beauty blogger, you often get a shove (read: kick in your arse) out of your comfort zone.

Since THEFACESHOP is a world famous Korean brand, I took this opportunity to recreate a dewy, fresh face makeup look which Korean women are famous for. There are no crazy eyeshadows, contouring and the likes but just rosy cheeks, softly defined eyes and sheer pouty lips.

Makeup inspiration taken from here
For the eyes I applied a soft wash of PP02* a deep burgundy shade all over my lids and lined it with the Gel liner* in black. I then applied the eyeshadow over the eye liner with a damp brush to soften down the line and a soft touch of eyeshadow on my lower lashes. I then applied two coats of Freshian Volumizing Mascara (Curling 01)* and this mascara is the real deal! It gives length, volume and the best part, it really holds the curl! I was initially worried that the blusher would be too light for my skin but it gave me the most natural, gorgeous rosy cheeks. And to finish my recreation of Korean fresh face makeup, I applied Rose Marsala* to achieve the healthy, pouty lips. To complete the whole look, I did use Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua as my base, Stila Kajal Eye liner in shade Topaz on my water line and Benefit Gimme Brow to define my eyebrows.

So there you have it, my take on Korean fresh face makeup which I think would be perfect for the upcoming season celebration!

Do let me know in the comment what you think of it and are you familiar with THEFACESHOP makeup? And do you have an idea on what look you'll be doing for Christmas party?

*I received this product for free but my thoughts and opinions are 100% unbiased, honest and my own. There is no place for any sort of BS here. Special thanks to CBB for arranging this opportunity.
