The Moment of Truth: DressLink.com The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (PICTURE HEAVY)

Remember my first wish list of some sort post from roughly a month ago? Well, if you don't then allow me to refresh your memory, click here.

I received the clothes a couple of weeks back, have since washed the clothes a couple of times and have also styled and worn all but one a few times. The shipping was surprisingly quick, it actually took less than two weeks for the package to arrive so big thumbs up for Dresslink.com on that matter.

Now without further ado, let's get down and dirty!

On me: the top and skirt is true to the pictures!
Both are really pretty and the quality is surprisingly good. Yes, you read that right, GOOD. The picture above is after two washes and tumble dry, there was no colour run, very minimal fade with the top and both didn't shrink or stretch. I did have to cut off extra threads on the sleeves but other than that, both top and skirt were perfect.

I have been wearing the top shamefully A LOT, as if it's the only top I that owned and the skirt is fast becoming a favourite too. The skirt is short but it's a comfortable length and thankfully not a 'I can see your knickers peeking through' length.

Extra threads hanging out on the seam

And finally I present you The Bad and The Ugly...

Women Retro Synthetic Leather High Waist Pleated Skirt USD5.41 (check here)

I'm sorry for the lack of picture of me wearing this but I couldn't bring myself to torture you lovelies with this mess. It's not even a hot mess but just a pure mess. The waist line is flimsy and large, it feels like it has been stretched by someone who was at least a couple of sizes bigger than me.

I wore it once and when hubby saw me, he paused for a very long time before muttering that I looked like I was wearing a garbage bag. Well, safe to say this skirt instantly went into the donation pile. Don't you just love your better half's honesty....?

Final verdict:
Both faux leather skirts smelled like burnt plastic before wash, I was worried about the smell but it went away after the first wash so I refuse to see it as a huge negative thing. Other than the extra threads hanging off the seams, I had zero problems with both top and the short skirt.

Frankly, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of both the top and short skirt however, the long skirt reminded me why I was wary of ordering clothes online. All that being said, two wins out of three is really good.

Will I recommend Dresslink.com to anyone? Surprisingly I actually would and I personally have been browsing for more clothes from the site. The most important thing to do is to read all the reviews on the item that caught your eye. I honestly believe there are some hidden gems on this website.
