Mother's Day is a very special day for me albeit a bittersweet one. It's a day that I feel extremely blessed to have two beautiful boys in my life but I wish my eldest lived with me instead of the other side of the world. It's also a day when I miss my family back in Malaysia and yet at the same time I am grateful for my MIL who treats me as a daughter.
To celebrate mother's around the world (except in the UK who already celebrated Mother's Day, like why can't you guys wait for the rest of the world? 😅), I decided to create a gift guide post with a twist. It's also a short and sweet 'get ready with me' so you will see how each product looks on me and I will share why each product makes a great gift and why I adore them.

The best makeup look starts with a great skincare routine and some of my must haves are Foreo Luna, Naruko Face Renewal Miracle Essence* and Neal's Yard Remedies Frankincense Intense Lift Serum*.
I reach for my Foreo Luna almost every morning and use it with my milk cleanser. I can easily adjust its vibration depending on how my skin feels and looks. I do use it on a higher setting as my skin feels so rejuvenated and fresh after each use and I think this is a must-have for any skincare lover.
I am not going to go in-depth with Naruko Face Renewal Miracle Essence* as you can read my review of it here but this would make the perfect gift for not only mothers but anyone whose skin needs a boost of hydration and radiance. Neal's Yard Remedies Frankincense Intense Lift Serum* is one of the latest additions to my routine and it's such a beautiful serum. It is obvious there was a lot of thought that went into creating the serum; the packaging is luxe, it is made with 71% organic ingredients, the scent reminds me of a luxurious spa experience and my skin absolutely loves it. If you're looking for a spa in a bottle for mummy dearest then I highly recommend checking this out.
My skin has been behaving recently and I have been wearing very minimal makeup even on my days out but the one thing that I always wear is a highlighter and my recent favourite has been Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter. This stunning bronzy gold gel highlighter is housed in a heavy frosted glass bottle and it gives a beautiful glow to the skin. Lipstick is one of my biggest weaknesses and I personally find it to be the centre of any makeup look. While I have been keeping my makeup basic and simple, I rely a lot on lipsticks to bring life to my face. Now that Spring is here, I have been reaching for my good ol' YSL Rouge Volupté Shine no. 19 again. I don't think this shade is available anymore but I do recommend the range if you love pigmented high shine lipsticks which is housed in a beautiful gold packaging with the brand's name on it.
Personally I haven't been wearing a lot of liquid lipsticks recently but if you're looking for a good one as a gift then I highly recommend Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet. The formula is outstanding and while it doesn't completely dry down and does transfer a little, it also means it feels light and hydrating on the lips. And again, it's Bur-freaking-berry.
I have really been embracing simple, dainty jewelry recently and my current obsession is this beautiful Pandora Floating Heart Necklace* with a medium Heart Plate*. Both plate and necklace are made with silver and the locket is with silver and sapphire crystal glass and clear CZ.
The beauty of it lays in its simplicity and it's ability to pretty much pair up with my whole wardrobe (mind you, I do have a limited amount of clothes...). It was Little Tyke's 3rd birthday this weekend hence I was silent on social medias. He turned 3 on Saturday but his birthday party was on Sunday and this was my look on that day. It's simple and with the exception of the white denim jacket, it's kid friendly.
